As some of you may know, I am in my last week and a half at the Texas Baseball Ranch®. I have accepted a position with a new company that will allow me to work remotely full time, which will be a huge blessing as my husband, Garrett, is gone for a little more than half the year playing professional baseball. So, I am heading into the next chapter of my life, but I will be forever grateful for my time spent at TBR. More importantly, I am grateful to my in-laws for giving me this wonderful opportunity to grow and learn from both of them.
I started at the Texas Baseball Ranch® in June of 2019 as an intern, right after I graduated from college at Dallas Baptist University with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Marketing. Ron and Jill offered me a job, as I was freshly out of college and wanting to build my resume. Over the next couple of years, I moved from an intern to Jill’s assistant. Then, in spring of 2021, I was hired full time to be the Events Coordinator, and I gained even more responsibility when Anna left to go back to teaching last August. I now wear multiple hats and have learned a wide array of tasks; anywhere from social media and marketing, to profit and loss statements and sales tax.
Working at The Ranch has opened my eyes to the work that has to be put in to running your own business; even more so when the business is as successful as The Ranch. Ron and Jill have created an incredible company that cares for and assists their clients, whether their needs are big or small. I’ve witnessed both of them take time to answer questions, give advice, listen to what the client needs, and ultimately find ways to help their athletes excel in baseball, no matter what level the athlete is. It’s special to be able to find a workplace and group of people that are incredibly passionate and who go above and beyond for their clients. Athletes and parents leave The Ranch knowing that Ron, Jill, and The Ranch staff are in their corner.
I was fortunate to gain great experience, skills, and insight during the last three years at The Ranch. I will always be appreciative of the opportunities that Ron and Jill gave me, and the patience they’ve shown towards me as I navigated through each of my positions (but especially the Events Coordinator position). I will miss creating connections with clients, seeing guys break their records, listening in on Ron’s inspirational mindsets, and feeling like family with my co-workers. However, one of the biggest perks about marrying into the Wolforth family is being able to come and visit anytime I want!
The Texas Baseball Ranch® is a hidden gem to, not only the baseball community, but to the world. They make dreams become reality for many athletes and leave each person motivated to be the best version of themselves. I feel lucky to have been given the chance to work at such a special place right out of college. Thank you to each person who made this job so memorable, and the biggest THANK YOU to my father-in-law and mother-in-law for giving me the chance to grow as an employee and person. I love you both.
