Farewell 2021

By Jonathan Massey –

Hard to believe that this will be my last blog of 2021. This year will definitely be a year I will never forget.

In February I married the love of my life in front my family friends.

In July we closed on our very first home.

In August we took our honeymoon to Sonoma, CA.

So, it was quite the year for the Massey family. As the year closes, I want to reflect on some the goals I had set for myself and wrote about in my first blog of 2021. I would love to sit here and write that I accomplished everything I set out to do this year. That would be a lie. But failure can be a great teacher if you allow it to be.

What I learned this year above just about everything else is just how important consistency matters. One the goals I had set for myself was to into better shape. I had a goal of reaching 195 (my old playing weight), and I was about 2 or 3 pounds from getting there. What happen? Life happened. We moved and that threw off my meal prepping routine. From there it was a downhill spiral. I would be good for a week, and then bad for 2 weeks.

There’s a reason the saying consistency wins championships. So, as I sit down to write down my goals for 2022, one of them will be to be more consistent or find a way track consistency within my new goals.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
