The Texas Baseball Ranch® is like no other place – from our Elite Pitchers Boot Camps to the Summer Programs, and all the way to even the private lessons. Being on both sides of it, as the athlete and now a coach, has helped me realize just how truly special this place is. The Ranch has given not only me, but a lot of others, friendships that will last a lifetime.
As an athlete coming here to both the Summer Program and an Elite Pitchers Boot Camp, I knew once I stepped into the facility that this was a very special place. Not only with the knowledge that the coaches at the time had, but with the way they treated you was second to none. With that being said, the athletes that I was training with were also very encouraging to each other. There is no jealousy or envy that goes on here, everybody rooted for each other to get better. Whether it was one more rep on med ball wall, one more MPH on a pulldown, or just feeling better as you throw, it was a family-like feeling with everybody pulling for each other. There is no other place I have experienced this.
Now as a coach, I try to make sure the athletes feel the same way I felt when I was training here. It is exciting to not only spread the knowledge I have learned over the years from the Ranch, but what is even more exciting is replicating the environment I was in when I was training. Building relationships with the athletes is a very big thing for me. I try to make them as comfortable as possible because training in a setting where you are the most comfortable is also something that helped me, so I try to bring that same feeling to the current athletes training here now. No jealousy, no envy, just a bunch of guys willing to work as hard as their work ethic allows. Who wouldn’t want to train in an environment like this?
If you have followed us for a while but have not yet trained here, I strongly urge you to get down here to find out for yourself really how special the Texas Baseball Ranch® is. We hope to see you soon! Until then, keep on getting after it.
