Your Daily Process

By Flint Wallace –

I came across a video from Brian Cain titled, “The Perfect Pizza Process”. In the video, he talks about the process that Costco goes through to make every one of their pizzas. Brian made a comment that really hit homehe stated that, “The processes you have in your life are working perfectly… for the results you are getting.”

So the results you get on a daily basis are because of the daily processes you go through. He also said, “If you don’t like your results, change your process. If you like your results, identify your process and be more consistent with it.”

This is where I see a big issue with a lot of athletes I come across. They don’t have a process or daily routine, so they don’t know what to change to get different results or what to keep the same to help achieve their desired results. They are simply unaware of what they do on a daily basis, much less have a process in place for success.

So, my suggestion is to figure out your daily processes or routines for what you want to accomplish, write them down, follow them for a couple of weeks, then reevaluate and make adjustments accordingly.

Because when you have a great process, it helps to reduce or even eliminate decision-making, you already know what you are going to do!

A good process also makes you more consistent. Consistency makes your training more gainful, your recovery more productive, your nutrition more beneficial, and your mindset more positive.

A good routine will also make you feel more comfortable, even in pressure situations. (Or in other words, a good process can help you to be comfortable being uncomfortable.)

So remember, your processes are working perfectly for the results you are getting.

The question is, do you know your processes?

If not, spend some time creating them. If so, ask yourself if they are producing the results you desire.

Being aware of what you do daily is a huge step in the right direction for your athletic and overall development.

Until next time… Keep getting after it.

Important TBR Notes & Updates

  • We know that everyone is anxious to get back to baseball and playing.  With that said, ramp up is going to be critically important after the long break.  In addition, the NCAA has extended the dead period to July 31 so college coaches are not allowed to watch or have any contact with players.  Keeping both of these things in mind, getting to the Texas Baseball Ranch® in June & July can be extremely valuable to players’ preparation and ultimately performance.  Read more below or check out our current & upcoming events at www.texasbaseballranch.com/events.

  • We have 5 remaining EPBCs on the schedule for this summer with the next one taking place June 19-21.   Due to current COVID-19 state mandates, we are only accepting 24 athletes per camp instead of our normal 45. For more information on these popular events, please visit www.TexasBaseballRanch.com/events. We are also loosening up our cancellation/change policy so that people can be comfortable in making plans now in the face of current & future uncertainty. ** We also have an option for you to extend your bootcamp weekend and stay for an additional week(s) and participate in our “Extended Stay Summer Developmental Program”.

  • Session 1 of our summer program is underway and remaining spots are limited for weeks 3 & 4 and Session 2 is close to selling out.  Knowing that there is still uncertainty for some people related to COVID-19, we have modified our cancelation policy to help reduce any apprehension in signing up now.  We are allowing participants to cancel all the way up to 1 week prior to your scheduled arrival with NO cancelation fee.  In addition, there is no charge to move your start date.

  • Response to our “Ranch Remote” training option has been exciting.  It’s a program for people that would still like to get access to, and ongoing instruction from, the TBR staff but prefer to avoid travel due to the virus. Click here to get more information on this NEW, hyper-personalized training option.  The number of participants in this program is limited to 36 so if you’re interested, don’t delay.

Please call (936)588-6762 or email us: info@texasbaseballranch.com
for more details or to sign up for any of these options.
