Pay It Forward

By Tyler Tompson-

April 28th marks International Pay It Forward Day, a day meant to inspire acts of kindness and generosity. Paying it forward is what happens when something wonderful happens to you because of someone else, and all they ask for in return is for you to do something for someone when they need it in the future.

These acts of kindness can be several different things — buying someone a cup of coffee, donating some of your books or clothing, running for a cause, even just helping someone in need. Paying it forward is thinking about the world and everyone we share it with, and ultimately, spreading kindness.

Think about this: You make it a goal to do something kind or generous to 10 random people this year, and you tell them to pay it forward and do something kind to 10 other random people. Assuming everyone pays it forward, that right there is 100 acts of random kindness and 100 people whose days got a little brighter.

Kindness is something that I feel can be overlooked. A lot of times, people forget the importance of kindness and the impact it can make on other lives. Simply being kind to one another can heighten our sense of wellbeing, increase our overall energy, and make us feel positive and upbeat.

Even though the day itself has passed and people make it a habit to do something kind and generous on that specific day, this is something we can make consistent in our lives. Make it a habit to spread kindness and pay it forward as often as you can. The impact you have on others will make the world a much brighter place.

Here are some scheduling announcements and updates for you:

  • Thanks to the loosening of restrictions in the state of Texas, we are on schedule to begin our Summer Program on June 1st as originally planned.  We do know however, that many of you are not yet in the same boat and are waiting to see how things play out in your state.  With that in mind, we are extending our Early Bird deadline until May 15th.  In addition, we have modified our cancelation policy to help reduce any apprehension in signing up during this uncertainty.  We are allowing participants to cancel all the way up to 1 week prior to your scheduled arrival with NO cancelation fee.  In addition, there is no charge to move your start date.

  • With the cancellation of the college baseball season and most high school seasons, and with summer playing schedules still in limbo, we have added a couple additional events to our calendar to assist athletes with skill improvement.  First, we have an Advanced College Training Session scheduled for May 15-17.  Only 5 spots remain.  Second, we have added an Elite Pitchers Boot Camp over the Memorial Day weekend, May 23-25. For more information, please visit www.TexasBaseballRanch.com/events

  • The COVID-19 virus has impacted nearly every facet of our society. In short, the world is a very different place than it was on January 1st, 2020 and that includes the Texas Baseball Ranch®. In order to limit the number of parents and athletes attending our Elite Pitchers Boot Camps, we are currently reducing the camp enrollment from 45 athletes to 24 athletes. This change will stay in effect until the national requirements/guidelines have been updated. We are also loosening up our cancellation/change policy so that people can be comfortable in making plans now in the face of current & future uncertainty.

  • In addition, we have added a “Ranch Remote” training option for people that would still like to get access to, and ongoing instruction from, the TBR staff but prefer to avoid travel due to the virus. Click here to get more information on this NEW, hyper-personalized training option.  The number of participants in this program is limited to 36 so if you’re interested, don’t delay.

Please call (936)588-6762 or email us: info@texasbaseballranch.com
for more details or to sign up for any of these options.
